I recently had the pleasure of meeting Navy Petty Officer First Class Ryan Sykes on the day he received the keys to his new home in Grass Valley. Ryan, a skilled special warfare analyst, sustained a traumatic brain injury on his fifth deployment to Afghanistan and has been living in an apartment that does not meet his needs. Not only is his new home equipped with amenities to make getting around easier, it’s also completely paid off thanks to the incredible non-profit Homes For Our Troops.
