Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon assigns Assemblywoman Dahle a new role on the Assembly Governmental Organization Committee for the 2021-2022 legislative year.

SACRAMENTO – On March 3, 2022, Assemblywoman Megan Dahle was appointed to the Assembly Governmental Organization Committee by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. Assemblywoman Dahle will serve on this committee for the 2021-2022 legislative year.

“I look forward to bringing my unique experiences as a Californian from the rural North State to the Governmental Organization Committee and collaborating with my colleagues in the Assembly to serve constituents. This committee focuses on policies related to, among other things, critical emergency services, the State Fire Marshal and ensures integrity in public meetings throughout the state. My constituents live in constant fear of wildfires, so being a part of policies related to emergency services will give me a seat at the table to speak up for those who live in my district.” said Dahle.

Primary jurisdictions include Alcoholic Beverage Control, Indian gaming, horse racing, gambling, State Lottery, tobacco products, open meetings laws as they affect state government, Outdoor Advertising Act, State Fire Marshal: Licensing, regulation, and disposal of fireworks, Offices of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Controller, and State Treasurer, and State holidays, seals, and official acts.

Assemblywoman Megan Dahle represents the 1st Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes portions of Butte and Placer counties, along with Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, and Siskiyou counties.
