Hello,
In the final days of California’s legislative session, I am writing to bring your attention to a critical issue that affects the safety and well-being of our communities in California. Senate Bill 94 is a concerning piece of legislation that my colleagues and I are dedicated to opposing.
Senate Bill 94 represents a significant threat to public safety. This bill, if passed, would perpetuate a soft-on-crime approach, permitting the possibility of parole for individuals sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. This proposal is deeply distressing for the victims’ families who have placed their trust in our justice system and places our communities at undue risk. It allows individuals who have committed the most heinous crimes, such as execution-style murders, a chance at release, contrary to their original life sentences.
California has witnessed a concerning uptick in crime rates over the years, and at a time when we should be taking measures to ensure the safety of our neighborhoods, this bill seeks to reduce sentences and potentially release convicted killers. Such an extreme soft-on-crime model undermines the very foundations of our justice system in California.

I kindly request that you share this email with your family and friends to help us raise awareness of the imminent dangers posed by this bill. We do not want this bill to make it out of the legislature and to the Governor’s desk. It is crucial that our community remains informed and engaged in the fight against it.
Action is needed now! Please join us in expressing your opposition to Senate Bill 94 by calling its authors, which you can find here.
Thank you for your attention to this pressing issue, and please stay engaged as we work tirelessly to protect our communities. If you’d like to watch the final two days of session, you can do so here.
