SACRAMENTO – Today, the California State Legislature reconvened for the new 2021-22 legislative session. Assemblywoman Megan Dahle (R-Bieber) issued the following statement regarding today’s events:
“A new legislative session marks the start of a critical time for our state, this year more than ever as we begin to address the challenges Californians are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am excited to dive into this process, and will be focusing on issues that are of great importance to my constituency such as support for our rural schools, our small businesses and employers, and making sure we stay focused on wildfire preparedness.
“I will also be prioritizing policies that will help our government function better for the people it is meant to be serving. From modernizing inefficient government agencies like the Employment Development Department (EDD), to streamlining the process to get essential workers like healthcare professions to work, there is much to do in order to get our state back on track and I’m ready to get to work.”
Assemblywoman Dahle serves as the Vice-Chair on the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee, the Appropriations Committee, the Education Committee, and has been newly appointed to serve on the Business & Professions Committee and the Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials Committee.
Assemblywoman Megan Dahle represents the 1st Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes portions of Butte and Placer counties, along with Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, and Siskiyou counties.
